The consumer reports auto guys are actually enthusiasts. (Not kidding).

They just can't write like them because of the format. And acceleration, braking (and breaking) and handling are major factors for them. But they supply more quantatative data and base recommendations on that.

Doesn't mean they aren't enthusiasts.

Shh don't tell anyone but I talk to some of those dudes on Twitter they are legit gear-heads. But they don't let that out in the mag because no one would buy Hoonsumer Reports...well we would, but the rest of the boring country wouldn't.
